The traditional distribution plan is good starting point for distributing your magazine. There are three levels to the conventional distribution plan: the producer, the wholesaler, and the retailer. The retailers are pitted against wholesalers, and wholesalers try to beat the producers. This sometimes works to detriment the whole system. The wholesaler will sometimes try to pass the wholesalers and go straight to the retailers. This promotes the wholesaler to go against the producer's product and drop them. You can modify traditional distribution channel, producers can use two-level distribution framework, which sells directly to distribution or they could go straight to the manufactures. The distribution plan can be influenced by my product, and how the costumers will view the magazine. The traditional distribution is distributed by magazine wholesalers, which spread the magazines through out supermarkets, drug stores, convenience stores, and transportation outlets. I would utilize this model to distribute my magazine by using a two-level distribution that sells directly to distribution then a manufacturer. The manufacturers will then distribute my magazine throughout supermarkets, drug stores, convenience stores, and any beach/travel store.
